Dieses Sockenmodell bringt gleich zwei abwechslungsreiche Varianten auf die Nadeln. Zur Wahl stehen ein lebendiges Wellenmuster und versetzte Verzopfungen, die den Socken jeweils einen ganz eigenen Charakter verleihen. Während das Wellenmuster dynamisch und verspielt wirkt, sorgen die versetzten Zöpfe für eine markante, strukturierte Optik. Das Modell wird bei uns als Einheitsgröße angeboten. Besonders praktisch: Ein Knäuel reicht für jede der in der Anleitung vorgesehenen Größen von 36/37 bis 44/45.

Knitting with heart and world record quality
With the world record sock yarn from Wolly Hugs, you become part of an extraordinary knitting project with heart and social significance. This premium sock yarn combines proven quality with a strong common goal: knitting to help - and making history in the process.
The classic blend of 75% virgin wool and 25% polyamide ensures pleasantly warm, durable and dimensionally stable socks that stand up to frequent wear. The balanced yarn structure ensures an even stitch pattern and a pleasant knitting feel - ideal for hard-wearing socks suitable for everyday wear.
Knit along - for the longest sock line in the world
The initiators of this special project are bookseller Miriam Cahannes, Veronika Hug, Susanne Oswald and Bernd Oswald. Together they want to beat the current world record of 35,500 self-knitted so cks on a washing line.
After the event, all the socks knitted will be donated to cold weather buses, aid buses and stationary aid centers in Germany as well as to corresponding institutions in Switzerland. The "Sock World Record" association was founded for this purpose. The aim is to raise public awareness of the issue of homelessness, create understanding and collectively donate at least 36,000 pairs of socks - for more warmth, dignity and humanity.
You can start knitting now. The official kick-off will take place at the Swiss Yarn Festival 2026. The participants will then knit together for a year before the actual world record attempt takes place at the Swiss Yarn Festival 2027.
